Rekha Thapa to contest from Parsa

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: After being formally welcomed to the UCPN (Maoist) party in May, actress Rekha Thapa will now be contesting from Parsa district in the CA elections in November. During the program, she had remarked that she chose to join the party as it fights for the poor.



Thapa is preparing to appear as a candidate from constituency 1 in Parsa. UCPN (Maoist) leader Prabhu Shah stated that Thapa agreed to stand for candidacy from Birgunj after the party cadres from Parsa invited her.
