In course of registering the convincing victory, Menuka Thapa and Renuka Nagarkoti scored a hat-trick for the home team. Thapa scored in the 15th, 29th and 57th minutes respectively. Nagarkoti hit the target in the 18th, 39th and 54th minute. [break]
Earlier, Roshani Rakhal, who netted twice, opened the scoring in the fifth minute and scored her second individual goal in the 77th minute. Sapana Lama also netted a brace for the home team with goals in the 35th and 64th minutes. Sunita Gole was on target in the 66th minute. Manju Thapa of Nawalparasi scored an own goal in the 22nd minute.

Following the defeat, Nawalparasi crashed out of the tournament. Other than Chandranigahapur, Simara of Bara will also host some of the matches.
Taplejung will take on Surkhet in Chandranigahapur and host Bara will lock horns with Udaypur on Sunday.
Women league in Jan/Feb
All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) President Ganesh Thapa said Women´s Football League would be held in Kanchanpur and Kailali in January/February. Thapa made the announcement during the inauguration ceremony of Women´s Football Championship in Chandranigahapur.
The tournament will be the first women´s league in Nepal. ANFA however, has not disclosed the format of the league and number of teams. Other than three departmental teams -- Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and Nepal Army -- there are no club teams in women´s football in Nepal.
"The premier division clubs are also contemplating forming women´s football team," Thapa said adding that the current season will be busy for women´s football. "We hope that the involvement of prestigious corporate houses like Ncell will be fruitful for the development of Nepali football."
Meanwhile, National Sports Council Member Secretary Yubaraj Lama inaugurated the tournament by handing over the match ball to referee Kalpana Sharma. Lama expressed satisfaction over footballing activities and called for greater activities in women´s football.
Earlier, one of the local organizer Rautahat District Football Association conducted motorcycle rally around Chandranigahapur.
