Quake victim dies due to extreme cold in Gorkha

GORKHA, Dec 26: An elderly man, a earthquake victim,  here in the district has died due to extreme cold on Friday night.



Lal Bahadur Baram, 60, of Aaruawarng-1 of the district    died due to extreme cold. According to Arjun Baram, deceased’s neighbor, Lal bahadur had gone to bed after taking   foods on Friday evening but died due to cold at the night.

Lalbahadur had been living at a tarpaulin-made temporary hut following collapse of his house during the April 25’s devastating earthquake earlier this year.

It has been learnt that Lalbahadur did not have warm cloths to protect himself from the chilling cold.

DSP Basant Rajaur at District Police office informed that a police team led by him is currently on the way to Aaruawarng VDC.
