In a discussion held at hospital between the ministry, victims´ families and hospital, the MoHP also agreed to bear all the treatment cost of the patients, who were referred to private hospitals for intensive care service.

The ministry has also committed to recommend compensation to the family of a patient who died at a private hospital in the course of treatment. The representative of the MoHP also assured action against anyone if found by the probe team.

With the commitment of the ministry, the families of the victims have halted all the protest against the hospital administration. They are also agreed to conduct the last rites of the deceased which they declined earlier demanding stern action against the "guilty".

Lata Guung, 26, who was referred to Kantipur Hospital on Friday died due to infection on Tuesday. The relatives of the victims claim that infection was due to the carelessness of the hospital administration. The hospital had referred other seven patients to various private hospitals for intensive care services.

“We are also agreed to provide free treatment to the baby,” Administrator of Hospital, Amar Amatya said. The hospital administration said that it has resumed surgery services from Wednesday but no patients from within Kathmandu Valley came even for delivery at the hospital.

“We have disinfected all the operation theaters and our lab technicians have scrutinized infection thoroughly. Now there is no risk of infection, “Amar Amatya, Hospital Administrator said. He said that only seven patients from the districts were admitted on Wednesday.

“Only the patients who did not hear the news come to our hospital, not a single patient from the capital come for service,” he added.
