KATHMANDU, Aug 8: The Damauli-Dumre road section at Tanahu under the Prithvi Highway has been blocked. The road was blocked on Tuesday afternoon near Chirkane in Byas Municipality-12.
The District Police Office, Tanahun, said that the vehicles running on the highway have come to a standstill after the road was blocked.

According to Tanahun police chief, SP Awadesh Bista Chhetri, only motorcycles and ambulances have been allowed to travel.
He said that the police who arrived at the scene said that it would take time to bring the road back into operation. Tanahun police have requested everyone to use alternative routes as there is a problem with the movement of large vehicles.
