Upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu at 12:25 pm, Yadav expressed happiness that suspicions of a serious health problem was removed after a series of medical checkups conducted at Tokyo University Teaching Hospital. “I am happy that the suspicion has been removed. Yadav was flown to Japan on June 17 for further diagnosis and treatment after a black spot had been detected in his large intestine during health checkup at a hospital in Kathmandu. Initially, doctors feared that the black spot could be symptom of cancer. Yadav was admitted to the Tokyo hospital on June 18. A team of doctors and specialists under the supervision of Professor Toshiaki Watanabe, who is the vice-director of the hospital and supervisor of a select team of specialists, was involved in his treatment.
Yadav was accompanied by a nine-member team, including his relatives, personal physicians and security personnel, among others.
