RAUTAHAT, Jan 14: Sadhbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato met Vice-president of Indian National Congress party Rahul Gandhi on Thursday.

During the meet in New Delhi, India, Mahato requested his support to Madhes protest. Source close to Mahato said that Gandhi, in return, pledged support from his party.

During the meet that lasted for 45 minutes, Gandhi said that he will discuss Nepal issues with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

It is learnt that Mahato expressed his displeasure over major three political parties saying that they are not serious in amending constitution and redrawing provinces as per demands of the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF).

Mahato, who went to the Indian capital for treatment after being injured in clashes in Biratnagar, is busy meeting Indian leaders after being discharged from hospital.
