NAWALPARASI, July 31: A female rhino was found dead at Amaltari of Kawasoti Municipality-17 of Nawalparasi district this morning.

Locals informed the administration after they found the pregnant rhino dead in a bush at the bank of Narayani river, said Chief of Sector Forests Office, Kawasoti, Krishna Devkota.
It has been suspected that around 16-year-old rhino might have died after failing to give birth to a calf as its horn and hooves are safe.
A team of veterinarians has arrived Amaltari for conducting a post mortem of the rhino. Investigation into the incident was underway. RSS
