The deceased policeman is 27-year-old Jit Bahadur Chaudhary. He was hit by a car (Ba 10 Cha 5231) that was heading towards Lamahi from Bhalubang.Chaudhary, on duty for highway security, died on the spot. Chandra Bhandari, 28, who was also on duty together with Chaudhary, has been seriously injured and he has been taken to the Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur, Banke.
The two policemen on duty had stopped a motorcycle and talking to the motorcyclist at 12 pm when the car hit them from behind and sped, police said. Police later found the car abandoned at Deupur of Lamahi Municipality-10 and are looking for the driver and the car's owner. RSS
