Police write to Speaker about arrest of lawmaker Rana on charge of criminal offense

The District Police Range, Kathmandu has written to the federal parliament secretariat that it arrested Dhawal Shamser Rana, a lawmaker of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, on charge of criminal offense.

KATHMANDU, March 30: The District Police Range, Kathmandu has written to the federal parliament secretariat that it arrested Dhawal Shamser Rana, a lawmaker of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, on charge of criminal offense. 


According to Ekaram Giri, spokesperson for the parliament secretariat, the district police informed the parliament secretariat that Rana was arrested in accordance with Article 103 (6) of Constitution.

"Addressing the Speaker, Senior Superintendent of Police, Biswho Adhikari, informed the parliament that Member of the House of Representatives, Rana, was apprehended on charge of criminal offense," Giri told RSS over phone.
