Police rescue girl attempting suicide

RATNANAGAR, July 22:  Police personnel from Devghat Area Police Office rescued a girl who had jumped into the Narayani River from a suspension bridge over the river at Devghat with intention of committing suicide.



In-charge of the police office Hari Poudel said 23-year-old Puja Aryal of Gitanagar, Chitwan, tried to commit suicide by jumping into the river.



She was handed over to her sister Ganga Adhikari after she was rescued by the police.
