KATHMANDU, Nov 29: In a bid to take two armed men under its control from a Sundhara-based guest house, Police have opened fire on early Sunday morning.
Acting on a special tip-off that two people are residing there carrying weapons, a team of Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) carried out raid at the Lumbini Pahuna Ghar and nabbed them.

One person has sustained injuries in his leg in the incident.
According to MPCD, Police have seized a loaded Chinese pistol and another police pistol from them. According to MPCD Chief Sarbendra Nath Khanal, one of the arrestee has been identifed as Chhote Lal Thakur of Bara.
Who is Chhote Lal Thakur?
Chhote Lal Thakur, an ex-policeman, was accused of stealing a SLR weapon of his fellow policeman and selling to the Madhes-based underground out-fit while he was working at Rautahat District Police Office in 2011.
He had sold the SLR to Sunil Jaisawal of Terai Janatantrik for Rs 1, 26,000. Jaiswal is serving jail term at Parsa prison.
Thakur was arrested in 2012 after a police investigation found that Thakur had stolen the SLR and sold to the underground out-fit. He, however, fled from the custody after sometime due to negligence of police personnel.
Thakur, who reached Gujarat, India initially after fleeing from the custody and in Dubai, UAE later on, returned to Kathmandu recently.
