KATHMANDU, June 24: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has pointed out the need of skilled manpower that could adopt the national policy as per the need of the nation for the national development.
Addressing a program here in the capital jointly organized by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and Himalaya Television today, PM Oli said that we failed to expedite developmental projects though we had adequate natural resources.
He argued that we failed to manage the resources for the development adding that we are known as laborious and brave across the globe therefore such specialty should be transformed for national development.
PM Oli said that the new budget has prioritized the national developmental projects expecting to reach 6 per cent economic growth as it is less than one per cent in current situation.
"The country will head towards self-dependency if we can grow production by opening industries and export the merchandise to our two big neighbors," PM Oli said, adding, "We can balance the uneven trade if we do not import consumer goods."
Rethinking human development
The PM also appealed to the international community to assuredly invest in Nepal citing that political achievement has been gained and that the country has many areas for investment.
Confederation President, Hari Bhakta Sharma, stressed on increasing development budget by reducing the general expenditure.
Television Chairman Lalit Kumar Agrawal and Shankar Group chair Shahil Agrawal demanded with the government and the political parties to create an environment allowing for establishment of industrial business.
The program to be held until tomorrow will hold consultations among nine groups and come up with a conclusion which will also be presented to the government. RSS (Photo Available)
