JHAPA, July 12: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, during a visit to his home district of Jhapa on Saturday, reaffirmed that he will hand over power to Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba next year.
Addressing a local gathering, Prime Minister Oli stated that the power transition will take place in line with an agreement reached with the Nepali Congress.

"Next year, power will be handed over to Congress President and my longtime companion in the democratic movement, Sher Bahadur Deuba," said Oli, "Our cooperation with the Nepali Congress will continue until the next election. I urge all our colleagues to move forward with confidence."
