KATHMANDU, May 14: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called a Cabinet meeting at 8 PM today at Baluwatar. According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting, which could not take place on Monday, has been rescheduled for today.

One of the key agendas of today's meeting could be the appointment of a new member to the Governor Recommendation Committee. A position in the committee has remained vacant following the resignation of Dr Bishwo Poudel.
The issue of appointing a new governor has become increasingly complicated lately, especially due to the ongoing disagreements between the ruling Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML.
