PM congratulates new leadership of Press Chautari

The new central committee under the leadership of Ganesh Pandey was elected from the 10th national general convention of Chautari held recently in Biratnagar.

KATHMANDU, March 27: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has congratulated the new leadership of Press Chautari Nepal.


At a meeting held at the PM's official residence, Baluwatar on Thursday, Prime Minister and Chairperson of the CPN (UML) Oli said it imparted a positive message to unanimously pick the central committee of Press Chautari.


He urged the new committee to remain active in the professional, ideological and organizational works.

Chairman Oli clarified that although the aspirants had met him regarding the leadership of Chautari, he had only wished that the general convention should select the leadership with consensus.


Prime Minister Oli stressed the need for the media sector to contribute to the country's prosperity and social harmony.


Prime Minister Oli cautioned against allowing any kind of 'virus' to enter the organization in the name of communal, ethnic, linguistic, regional and gender.
