Morang, Dec 13: A pedestrian was killed after being knocked down by a motorcycle (Me 4 Pa 3917) in Urlabari-6 along Urlabari-Madhumalla road section on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as local resident Nilam Pandey, 36. Pandey died in the course of treatment at Araniko Hospital in the locality, the police said. The injured motorcycle rider Mohan Kumar Shrestha, 20, of Miklajung-9 in the district was receiving treatment at the hospital, while pillion passenger Nisha Gurung at Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar said Inspector Chandra Bahadur Thapa.
