KATHMANDU, Jan 27: The meeting of Legislature-Parliament on Friday has been adjourned for a fifth time in a row amid clamors by opposition lawmakers for withdrawal of the government decision to legalize the conflict-era land deals and the prime minister´s subsequent notification  to the House about it.

The opposition lawmakers also criticized PM Baburam Bhattarai for his alleged recent statement that Nepal might be annexed to its neighboring country if it could not play a role to bridge the distance between its two immediate neighbors.

Nepali Congress Kamala Panta, CPN-UML´s Pradip Gyawali and a few other leaders from fringe parties expressed their views on the issues at today´s House meeting. The House will next meet on January 29.
