BARA, Aug 28: A person died when a tiger attacked him in Bara district on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Krishna Prasad Sharma, 55, of Jitpur Simara sub-metropolis-22, according to Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Bara, Bijay Raj Pandit.
The tiger attacked Sharma when he had gone to collect green fodder in Adhabhar forest on Wednesday morning. Sharma's family members informed police after Sharma, who went into the forest on a scooter, did not return home.
Human-Tiger Coexistence Amidst Rising Tiger Population
A team of police from the District Police Office and another team of the Nepali Army deputed from Adhabhar barrack carried out a search for Sharma and found his headless body in the jungle, shared Pandit.
Further investigation into the case was underway, added the District Police Office.
