KATHMANDU, Feb 10: At least one person was killed and 23 other injured when a passenger bus met with an accident in Dhading on Sunday night.
According to police, the bus (Ba 3 Kha 8923) heading to Devghat, Chitwan from Bhaktapur met with an accident on the Prithvi Highway in Thakre Rural Municipality-7 in Dhading. The bus lost control and overturned on the side of the road.

In the accident, Parbati Kafle, 50, a resident of Bhirkot, Dolakha lost her life. She was taken to Nepal Police Hospital in Maharajgunj for treatment after she sustained serious injuries in the accident. Doctors declared her dead on Sunday night itself.
Of the injured, five others are undergoing treatment at the Neuro Hospital in Bansbari. Similarly, nine others are receiving treatment at the Police Hospital and eight are being treated at the Trauma Center. Bus driver Jeet Bahadur Magar, a resident of Dolakha, is undergoing treatment at Saibaba Hospital in Dharke.
Police added that some passengers with minor injuries have returned home after receiving primary treatment.
