BAGMATI, April 4: A person died in a fire that occurred in a community forest at Bhimphedi rural municipality-1, Makwanpur district, on Thursday.
The victim is identified as Akil Bahadur Pakhrin, 49, according to District Police Office, Makwanpur.

Pakhrin had gone to take care of a cowshed near the Bokedaha community forest. While going to the cowshed, he accidentally fell off a cliff, reaching the community forest that was on fire.
He was found burnt to death in the forest, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal.
The body was taken to Hetauda Hospital for a postmortem, and an investigation into the incident was underway, the police added.
