JUMLA, June 17: One person died and four others were injured when a tractor veered off the road in Jumla on Monday night.
The accident occurred around 9 PM when a tractor numbered (Lu 2 Ta 1115) heading from Chandanath Municipality’s airport area toward Taliyum in Ward-9 lost control and fell about 20 meters off the road at Khallachaur in Ward-7, according to Jumla District Police Office.

The deceased has been identified as Jokhi Sarki, 48, of Chandanath-9. He succumbed to his injuries at 9:48 pm during treatment at Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, said Assistant Sub-Inspector Rohit Rasaili.
The injured include Debu Sarki, 29; Mainamurli Sarki, 35, Ranga Sarki, 48—all from Taliyum—and tractor driver Santosh Sarki, 22. All of them are undergoing treatment at Karnali Academy of Health Sciences and are reported to be in stable condition.
