KATHMANDU, April 20: The Nepal Teachers Association (NTA) has urged private schools to close due to the ongoing teachers’ protest.
In a statement, the NTA called on private school operators to support the strike by shutting down their institutions. “We request all concerned stakeholders to support this educational general strike campaign by closing down institutional schools to make it a success,” the statement reads.

The NTA has urged all teachers and staff across the country to completely shut down schools and come to Kathmandu in support of the ongoing movement.
During this period of protest, the NTA has instructed teachers not to open schools, conduct entrance or grade improvement exams, evaluate answer sheets, or participate in any academic activities such as workshops, seminars, or educational tours.
It has also requested principals, teachers, and school staff not to be involved in the upcoming grade 12 examinations.
