None can outsmart NC if it is united: Secretary-General Koirala

BHAKTAPUR, April 7: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Shashank Koirala has argued that nobody could beat NC in the next election if it would be united.



At an interaction organized by Nepal Women’s Association, District Working Committee Bhaktapur here today, General Secretary Koirala said that there was no alternative to move ahead with united NC. Stating that he was active in unifying NC and taking it forward, Koirala said, “I am effortful to bridge the gap between President Sher Bahadur Deuba and leader Ram Chandra Poudel and make NC unified. NC would be the biggest party once again and nobody could beat it if it works in unison.”

He also argued that it was wrong for the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to centralize power at a time when the country has also adopted and implemented federal set-up.


Participants of the programme such as NC invited central member Rama Dhakal, State Assembly member for Province No 3 Rajani Jhoche, NC Bhaktapur district President Durlabh Thapa, Nepal Tarun Dal former central committee member Binod Kayastha, Bhaktapur District former President Ganeshman Chakradhar among others urged the party leadership to end the fractional politics to restore party's charisma.
