KATHMANDU, Feb 17: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized that Nepal should be built by the Nepali people themselves through cooperation between all three tiers of government in development and construction work.
In a special address to the meeting of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly held on Monday, PM Oli said that no country can be built by others, so we must build it ourselves.

“Our neighbor China was a poor country 40 years ago, however, it has now become prosperous through its own hard work. We too should develop the country ourselves by increasing the use of technology,” PM Oli said, “If we can identify what products are produced in which place and cultivate and produce them with great results, we will find a market. Therefore, we should engage in the production sector. We should expand investment in establishing industries. The government should facilitate these efforts.”
He claimed that the recently presented ordinances have been designed to inhibit collaboration to expand investments in Nepal.
“All three levels of government should move forward in collaboration, the federal government has introduced various ordinances to expand investment and develop the information technology sector,” he said, “While some people oppose them, the ordinances have brought new enthusiasm to the industrialists, entrepreneurs and the information technology sector.”
PM Oli said that there is a need to develop a strategy for how to effectively utilize technology. He added, “Today, we have technology, but we need to develop the skills to use it,” he said “We all have mobile phones, but we need to learn how to use them.”
