KATHMANDU, Jan 10: Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited (NIMB) has officially launched its UnionPay card service for customers, according to a press release by the bank.



The launch aims to expand modern payment solutions, offering customers a secure, reliable, and globally accepted card service. With innovative features, the NIMB UnionPay card allows seamless transactions both domestically and internationally, including payments, online purchases, and travel-related expenses. The card is accepted at millions of merchants and ATMs worldwide, enhancing convenience and security for users, according to a press statement of the NIMB.

To mark the launch, NIMB is offering a 100% waiver on card fees for five years on both domestic and international UnionPay cards as part of a special introductory campaign. Customers can enjoy long-term card benefits without paying any fees, available for a limited period, the press statement reads. 


Through this initiative, NIMB aims to strengthen its digital banking system and provide customers with more convenient card-based solutions. The bank currently operates 271 branches, 259 ATMs, 65 extension counters, and 60 branchless banking units across the country, offering state-of-the-art banking services.
