NEPSE halts shares trading of Bottlers Nepal on charge of breaching the govt rules

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has halted shares trading of Bottlers Nepal Limited, Balaju on charge of failing to notify the regulator about the decision on issuance of its dividend on time.

KATHMANDU, Dec 18: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has halted shares trading of Bottlers Nepal Limited, Balaju on charge of failing to notify the regulator about the decision on issuance of its dividend on time.  


Issuing a public notice on Tuesday, the NEPSE has stated that Bottlers Nepal through its board meeting conducted on November 20 decided not to give the shareholders with dividend of the fiscal year 2023/24. However, the manufacturers of Coca Cola beverage informed the front line regulator of the share market only on Tuesday.

According to the Securities Listing Bylaws 2019, listed companies have to notify NEPSE about the decisions that could affect the price and trading of shares of the companies concerned before the decisions are disseminated in public.


After the company was found breaching the rule, NEPSE has halted the trading of shares of Bottlers Nepal. In addition, the regulator has also directed the company to present clarification within three days.
