Nepalese ambassador to Islamic Republic of Pakistan Bharat Raj Paudyal presented the Letter of Credence to President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari amidst a special ceremony held at Presidential Palace on Thursday. [break]
According to a press statement issued by Nepalese Embassy in Pakistan, Ambassador Paudyal made a courtesy call on President Zardari following the credential ceremony. "Matters of bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed on the occasion,” the statement said. Counselor/Deputy Chief of Mission, Durga Prasad Bhandari and Military Attaché, Col. Khadga Bahadur Malla were also present to witness the credential ceremony.
Likewise, Nepalese ambassador to Israel Prahlad Kumar Prasai presented his credential to Israeli President Shimon Peres amidst a function held at the presidential palace on Wednesday.
“I am certain that you will make a real contribution in expanding the cooperation, the friendship and the relationship between Israel and your countries in many fields of endeavor,” a press statement of Israeli foreign ministry quoted Peres as saying after receiving credentials from ambassadors of five countries including Nepal.
Likewise, Nepalese ambassador to Myanmar Paras Ghimire presented his credential to the Union of Myanmar President U Thein Sein on Wednesday.
