Nepal will take on Hong Kong on the opening day while they face Kuwait on October 5, Singapore on October 7 and Qatar the following day. The semifinals are scheduled for October 12 and final for October 14. Top two teams of each group will advance into the semifinals.
Nepal had won the first edition of the championships held in Thailand´s Chiangmai in 2008, defeating Malaysia in the final by seven wickets. It was the first international title of Nepali women´s cricket team. Hong Kong had finished fourth during the last edition.
Nepal and Hong Kong are also in the same group in the Asian Games scheduled for November in Guangzhou, China.
Nepal are facing Kuwait and Singapore in the ACC U-19 Women´s Championships for the second time in a row. Nepal had defeated Kuwait by four wickets and Singapore by nine wickets in Thailand.
This is the fourth time Nepali women´s team is participating in an international event. The Nepali team was selected on the basis of the Wai Wai Women´s National League held earlier this year.
