The match between Nepal and PNG will be played at Kinrara Oval at 7.15 NST.
Nepal, PNG, Ireland, Uganda and the USA are taking part in the qualifiers with the winner securing a berth in the finals to be held in Bangladesh from 22 January to 14 February next year.
Before leaving for Malaysia, Nepali youth team Coach Jagat Tamata had said that Nepal will try to win every match of the qualifiers as there is only one spot available for the finals.
Tamata had also added that he will not underrate any team and play every match as the final.
Coach Tamata said that his side will play all-round game as the team is relying on batting, bowling and fielding with backup for all positions.
The team spent two weeks in New Delhi as a part of preparation for the qualifiers and played five practice matches against local clubs.
This is the second and final chance to qualify for next year's World Cup after all five teams finished second in their respective regional qualifying tournaments.
Apart from the 10 Test playing countries, Afghanistan, Canada, Fiji, Namibia and Scotland have already sealed berths for the tournament.
Nepal, captained by current skipper Raju Rijal, had finished runner-up in the regional qualifying tournament in Kuwait last year, losing only to Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Uganda will face the USA in another match on Thursday at Bayuemas Oval.
