The Group D match between the two associate nations, Nepal and Ireland, will begin at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah at 8.45 NST.
The match is crucial for both the sides. A win over Ireland could help Nepal secure a spot in the second round provided that India beats New Zealand in another match of the day.
India had defeated Ireland by 79 runs on Thursday while Nepal beat New Zealand by 32 runs to begin the world cup journey on a positive note.
If both Nepal and India become victorious on Saturday, they will secure their last-eight spots with one match to spare.
However, the result in favor of Ireland would mean Nepal must beat India in its last match on Monday and also rely on other results to make it to the knockout stage.
Nevertheless, the victory over New Zealand has shown that Nepal could come up with positive results in coming matches.
Besides that, Nepal beat Ireland twice during the ICC U-19 World Cup Qualifiers held in Malaysia in October last year. Nepal had defeated Ireland by eight wickets in the league match before beating the same opponent in the final by three wickets to book the Bangladesh ticket.
On the other hand, lucky loser Ireland got a chance to feature in the world cup after Australia withdrew from the competition citing security concerns.
In the earlier editions of the age-group world cup, both the teams had faced each other twice with both the teams winning a match each. In the 2006 world cup, Nepal had defeated Ireland by 60 runs while Ireland avenged Nepal by 14 runs in 2012.
In the current tournament, Nepal is in best form in all three departments - bowling, batting and fielding. All the batsmen of Nepal contributed runs against New Zealand and the bowlers too were impressive.
Meanwhile, Ireland match against India showed that the team's top order and tail-enders could not perform well except for the middle-order batsmen providing some resistance. Most of the bowlers also failed to upset title contender India.
Nepal's coach Jagat Tamata has been expecting an all-round performance with spinners as the backbone of the team. He had claimed that his side will play improved games against Ireland and India.
