Nepal face early setback as four wickets fall in powerplay against UAE

KATHMANDU, April 19: Nepal is taking on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the3 first semi-final of the ACC Premier Cup on Friday.



After winning the toss, the UAE chose to field first, inviting Nepal to bat.

However, Nepal encountered an early setback, losing four wickets and scoring 51 runs in 9.3 overs.


Key players Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh were dismissed during the powerplay, with Muhammad Junaid Siddique and Omid Shafi Rahman taking one wicket each for the UAE. 


Likewise, Captain Rohit Poudel got out after scoring 5 runs off 18 balls. Ali Nasir was caught out by Saeed Haider in the last ball of the seventh over.
