Addressing a function organized by Nepal-China Media Forum to exchange greetings on the occasion of New Year 2013 in the capital Friday, the Chinese envoy said the two countries have an excellent relation as both sides respect each other´s core interests. He also lauded Nepal´s one-China policy and its commitment not to allow its soil to be used against any neighbor.[break]
The envoy also highlighted improvement made in the relations between the two countries in various fronts including in the trade, tourism, investment and exchange visits of political and civil society leaders in recent years.
Stating that China is keen to invest in various fields including in the infrastructure development in Nepal, the envoy also suggested to the government to create conducive environment for investment.
Addressing the function, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayankaji Shrestha termed Nepal-China relations ´problem-free´. "Our independent foreign policy has helped further strengthen the friendly relations subsisting between the two countries," he said.
