KATHMANDU, May 15: NC is leading in the Gokarneshwor Municipality, according to the latest vote counting.

As per the latest update, in the mayoral candidacy, NC candidate Santosh Chalise is currently leading with 57 votes whereas UML candidate Punya Prasad Chaulagain is in second position with 49 votes whereas Maoist Center candidate TR Nepal is running in third position with 1 vote.
Similarly, for the deputy-mayoral candidacy, Shanti Nepal of NC and Shanti Shrestha of UML are in neck to neck position with equal 56 votes. Likewise, Renuka Karki is following them with 25 votes.
