While making the request to home secretary during a public program organized in the district headquarters in Musikot, Shah accused police chief of the district and the chief district officer of defying the strike called by his party. [break]
A group of Nepali Congress cadres led by Shah had vandalized the vehicles of the CDO and the police chief on the day of the strike.
While Shah´s previous efforts to get the CDO transferred have failed, he made the fresh request to the home secretary who arrived here on an official visit.
The local NC leaders have also requested to the home ministry time and again to transfer of the CDO from the district.
However, secretary Rana instructed government officials to show professionalism while carrying out their duties and not be influenced by leaders of any political party.
"The political situation right now is very frustrating as it is undergoing a transition. Some leaders may try to take advantage of this situation, but you should not be affected by these people," Rana told the officials of the district.
Saying that no bureaucrat has lost his job for not obeying the diktats of political parties, the home secretary asked the government officials not to be affected by local leaders.
