NC gears up election preparation

KATHMANDU, Aug 17: As a part of its decision to gear up election campaign for the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) poll, the Nepali Congress (NC) has directed party’s all 75 District Committees to recommend the names of election candidates for each constituency in their respective districts along with their suggestions by September 5.



A meeting of the party’s office bearers including senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba at the party’s headquarters in Sanepa on Saturday also decided to form a seven-member Election Fund Generation Committee under the leadership of party president Sushil Koirala and 15-member constitute Constituent Assembly Election Manifesto Preparation Committee under the convenorship of Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel. The NC has called its Central Committee to take necessary decisions to gear up election campaign for Friday.
