A gang numbering four to five persons fired Bilat Yadav (45) of Debahi VDC while he was asleep in his own house. Yadav was the regional representative of the party from the Rautahat constituency No. 3.
Two persons have been arrested on suspicion of their involvement in the murder, said the police.
