Similarly, the Guthi has decided to award the Jagadambashree Puraskar to Ram Sharan Darnal for his tireless effort to collect folk songs and musical equipment, and write about them, the Guthi said in a statement Friday. Each prize carries a purse of Rs 200,000.
This is the second time Madan Puraskar has been awarded to an essayist, after Dr Taranath Sharma.
