He stated that the current government under his leadership should be transformed into the national government by involving into it the Nepali Congress and the agitating the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF).
Talking to media persons at Biratnagar airport today PM Oli said, "I am always ready to expand the government size for the national government," asserting that "there is no alternative to the national government."
Only the results of the next election will give an alternative to the national government, he claimed.
I had stressed for a national unity government for the constitution making process, its implementation, economic development of the country and for institutionalization the fragile democracy, said PM Oli.
Oli said parties had, to a great extent, been united following the devastating earthquake as a result of which was the promulgation of the new constitution.
Oli further said the time has yet again required a national unity for the implementation of the constitution, economic development of the country and institutionalization of the fragile democracy.
Oli also told the media persons that consensus is likely with the agitating parties prior to his India visit.
He claimed that a political body with Terms of Reference (ToR) will be formed and the political consensus will be forged with the UDMF at the earliest.
Oli has arrived in Biratnagar by a flight of Yeti Airlines to attend the Convocation Day of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences based in Dharan today.
