KANCHANPUR, Aug. 27: The Bhimduttanagar Municipality has announced to provide Rs 300,000 in support to the family of Nirmala Panta, a 13-year-old girl who was subsequently murdered after her rape in the district.
Mayor of the municipality, Surendra Bista, announced to dole out the assistance amount after meeting with the family members of Panta on Sunday.

Earlier, the executive council of the municipality had decided to offer necessary assistance to the family of Panta.
Mayor Bista said that the amount would be given from the municipality office and also demanded to book the criminals involved in the murder case. He also pledged to cooperate with the probe team on behalf of the municipality.
Likewise on Saturday, the municipality had decided to provide Rs 300,000 to the family of Shani Khuna who was killed in police firing during a demonstration in the district.
