BAITADI, June 20: Spokesperson at Purchaudi municipality in the district, Gautam Prasad Bhatta, died after suffering serious injury in a motorcycle accident this morning. Also the chairman of ward no 4, Bhatta breathed his last during the treatment early morning.
Police Inspector Dipak Patali confirmed that Bhatta died during treatment at Kohalpur Medical College. Bhatta had met the accident while returning home from the ward office. After the district hospital failed to treat him, he was referred to the Kohalpur Medical College, but in vein.

Meanwhile, Purchaudi municipality extended condolences to the family of the departed one and postponed all activities scheduled for today.
The late Bhatta was the district committee member of the ruling Nepal Communist Party in Baitadi.
