MoU signed to deliver IP service in Nepal

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: An agreement has been reached for the first time between Nepal Telecom (NT), the state-owned telecommunication service provider and China Telecom Global Limited (CTG) to deliver IP service in Nepal through the terrestrial cable route linking Nepal and China via Rasuwa-Jilong gateway.

Following this, Nepal can now purchase internet bandwidth from Chinese companies. Earlier, Nepal has only been purchasing internet bandwidth from Indian firms.
