KATHMANDU, Sept 13: The monsoon trough is currently positioned near its average location, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
Heavy rainfall likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini
The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy across the country this afternoon, with chances of moderate rainfall in some hilly areas and a few places in the Tarai. The MFD has also warned of heavy rainfall at one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
By nightfall, the weather will remain mostly cloudy nationwide, with moderate rain likely in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places in the remaining hilly and Tarai regions. The MFD added that heavy rainfall is also likely at one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
