DHARAN, Jan 15: Medical entrepreneurs have shut medical shops near BP Koirala Memorial Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan on Sunday, protesting the manhandling of a local medical shop owner a day earlier.

Owners of over three dozen medical shops in the vicinity of the BPKIHS have closed their medical outlets over the attack on Birendra Gupta, proprietor of Anita Medical, by Tarun Dal district vice-chairman Pravin Rai on Saturday. [break]

The protestors have demanded action against the culprit and proper security arrangements for medical entrepreneurs. They have also said the protest will go on unless their demands are met.
