KATHMANDU, March 4: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the Us-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement was ratified through parliament with an interpretative declaration in order to defeat the CPN-UML.

Speaking at the party’s central committee meeting on Friday, Chairman Dahal asserted that he had to ratify the MCC with an interpretative declaration because of the main opposition party, CPN-UML, which has been hatching conspiracies to break the ruling coalition, had put the post of Speaker Agni Prasad Sapota at a risk.
