MAHOTTARI, May 6: A person was killed after a debate over road construction took a violent turn last night at Khopi village of Aaurahi municipality – 6 here in Mahottari.
An estimated 58 – year – old Lal Babu Das was killed in the ensuing brawl, District Police Office, Mahottari said. Two groups got into a brawl at 7 pm over an under construction road during which Das was killed on the spot, Superintendent of Police (SP) Kuber Kadayat said.
Police detained suspects Shiva Sharan Das, 65, and Indrajeet Das, 32, the same night for investigation.
Youth's body found in mango grove
A youth's body was found hanging from a tree in a mango grove at Mahottari rural municipality of Mahottari district.
According to District Police Office, Mahottari's SP Kuber Kadayat, 33 – year – old Sunil Yadav's body was found hanging from a tree.
Under suspicion of foul play, authorities have launched an investigation to determine if Yadav, a local resident of the area, committed suicide. RSS
