Raj Kumar Jaishwal hailing from Parsa and currently living in KMC-14, Kuleshwor was held for selling petrol at Rs 500 per liter, fivefold the current rate.
Acting on a tip-off that Jaishwal is selling the fuel after brining 200 liter petrol in vehicle, Ba 10 Cha 9590, a police team from Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati arrested him.
Police said they are further investigating the case.
