Madhesi alliance to continue with border obstructions

BIRGUNJ, Feb 1: The agitating Federal Inclusive Madhesi Alliance has decided to continue with the border points obstructions, while allowing the market, transportation service and educational institutions to resume.

The meeting here Monday of the Alliance also decided to forge a greater alliance with all the agitating parties including the United Democratic Madheshi Front, according to President of Rastriya Madhesh Socialist Party Sharat Singh Bhandari. The agitation will also be made stringent.


Tarai Madhesh National Campaign Coordinator JP Gupta said the agitation will become weak if a greater alliance is not forged for a united strength while Nepal Sadbhawana Party leader Anil Kumar Jha made an appeal to all Madhesi, Tharu, indigenous nationalities, dalit and muslims to join the agitation.

President of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Republican Raj Kishore Yadav said the alliance will organize protest meets, demonstrations, public awakening programme and periodic general strikes in the Madhesh districts. RSS
