Long-cherished dream comes true as Dhading women by ambulance

DHADING, Nov 4: Dhading women have bought a honking four-wheeler, ending the long-standing woes to carry expecting women and ailing locals on their backs to the clinics and hospitals.

DHADING, Nov 4: Dhading women have bought a honking four-wheeler, ending the long-standing woes to carry expecting women and ailing locals on their backs to the clinics and hospitals.


A women group called Ujyalo Bhabishya active in the village purchased a new brand ambulance for Rs 1.1 million with the money they collected through organizing Mahotsav and other activities conducted by Ujyalo Bhabishya.

Ganga Lama, chairperson of the Ujyalo Bhabishya Women Group, said, "We have purchased an ambulance with the money raised through organizing Mahotsav and other fundraising activities such as Deusi-Bhailo conducted by women group, making it available for the sick and ailing women.


Earlier, the locals had to carry ailing people and expecting women to nearby clinics and hospitals on their backs but now this problem has been resolved, with the purchase of the ambulance.


It took two years for the women group to raise the money to buy the ambulance.
