There are many government and non-government banks, however, no bank is here to get banking facilities in the hilly villages. Neither private nor government sector paid attention to provide us banking services, said Kosh Raj Paudyal, a businessman at Bulintar.
“We have to walk a whole day to Kawasoti from hilly villages for getting any banking facilities,” said Paudyal. Villagers have to risk their lives while traveling such long distances carrying money with them, he said.
Locals of Bulingtar, Kotthar, Dandajheri, Arkhala, Jaubari, including other VDCs have to reach Kawasoti since 2001 for banking facilities after the displacement of the development bank.
